Inspection and Replacement

Bungee cords are safety-critical consumable components and must be inspected regularly by a trained operator.

Do not use a cord showing:

• damaged, cut or heavily worn textile braid;
• visible damage to the elastic core;
• permanent flattening or deformation;
• uneven stretching;
• significant loss of elasticity;
• contamination with oil, chemicals or other damaging substances;
• damage caused by sharp edges, heat or incorrect storage.

Replace damaged or questionable cords immediately. Always install cords symmetrically and use the same type, length and condition of cord on both sides of the harness.

When not in use, store the cords in a clean, dry place away from chemicals, excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight.
